All laws of classical physics are statistical in nature; they stop working if the number of particles involved is too small. The examples given are directly reliant on the existence of atoms and fairly easy to understand but he doesn't tackle theories that were originally considered fundamental e.g. classical electromagnetism. Those would be more interesting to a physicist but tougher on a general audience.
