Thomas Middleton: The Collected Works - MacDonald P. Jackson (Editor), John Jowett (Editor), John Lavagnino, V. Wayne, Gary Taylor, Thomas Middleton

...Honest Whore, Sc.6: Bellafront, the titular prostitute is finally introduced; she's also a swindler, taking money for wine that is "spilled" before it can be drunk - or even seen - because the money was pocketed and the drink never bought. However, in a typical example of Renaisance dramatical instant love, she falls for Hippolito and swears to turn honest. Hippolito, still mourning his "dead" beloved, condemns prostitution and leaves.
