It's a blog! Mainly of book reviews.
Approaching the centre of Bruges, from the railway station. My visit to Bruges was the highlight of my time in Belgium. Probably the best preserved mediaeval town in Europe, it is very beautiful and manages to fairly gracefully combine the perhaps conflicting effects of being heavily dependent on tourism with maintaining its atmosphere. If you visit and don't know Dutch/Flemish, you will be better off speaking English, rather than French.
