It's a blog! Mainly of book reviews.
Lost the Plot After One Good Book, more like. I picked this up because it's No.2 in a series I'd read books 1, 3 and 4 of and it was mildly irritating not to know the full details of what went on in the gap. The Eyre Affair has a justifiable reputation as a fun, imaginative fantasy set in an alternative 1985 where people and characters can enter and leave books. Unfortunately all the problems I found with books 3 and 4, namely poor pacing, lack of protagonist agency and deus ex machina all start right here in book 2. It's very disappointing and I doubt I'll be reading anymore of this series unless desperate. I'm not even sure I want to try any Fforde that isn't part of this series.
