Reading progress update: I've read 39 out of 288 pages.
Grayson Perry had a teen Goth phase! Must have been in early that subculture. Much of the early work was deliberately intended to shock; sexual, drug and even Nazi imagery. All of this in the 1980's; Perry came to my attention only a couple of years ago - I'm rather late for this train!
