Who Could that be at this Hour? Lemony Snicket

Who Could That Be At This Hour? - Lemony Snicket

Hmmm...well I was reluctant to try this after the disappointment of the last two volumes in A Series of Unfortunate Events, so I gave it a looooooooooooooooooong break. Turns out that was a good idea, because the basic jokes are the same and Lemony Snicket is not nearly as fun as the Baudelaire family were. (The supporting cast of kids are all more interesting than Snicket turns out to be.) There's mystery piled on mystery in the somewhat surreal town of Stain'd by the Sea and of course not all of them are resolved by the end of the book.

I was hooked just enough to want to continue the series but this is nowhere near the heights of the best of the Unfortunate Events books.
